Hawks' Luke Kennard: Iffy for Monday
Kenard (back) is listed as questionable for Monday's game against Toronto, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports.
Kennard missed the closing half of a back-to-back set Saturday due to back soreness, and he's at risk of missing Monday's contest as well. With Trae Young (quadriceps) out, Kennard's absence would leave the Hawks shorthanded in the backcourt.

Hawks' Kristaps Porzingis: Cleared to face Raptors
Porzingis (illness) isn't on the injury report for Monday's game against the Raptors, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports.
Porzingis missed Atlanta's previous game -- the second leg of a back-to-back -- but he'll be good to go Monday. He's appeared in two games since returning from a 10-game absence due to illness, and he's come off the bench and played 17 minutes in both outings. While he'll still be under heavy limitations Monday, he may see an extra minute or two.

Hawks' Trae Young: Still out
Young (quadriceps) won't play in Monday's game against the Raptors, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports.
Young will miss a fifth straight contest due to a bruised right quad. He's been ruled out on the initial injury report in back-to-back games after landing a questionable tag for Friday's contest. The star guard's absence will mean expanded roles for Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Vit Krejci and Keaton Wallace. Young's next chance to play will come Wednesday against the Pelicans.

Hawks' Dyson Daniels: Double-double in loss
Daniels logged 20 points (9-13 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 12 assists, five rebounds, two steals and two blocks over 34 minutes during the Hawks' 134-117 loss to the Raptors on Saturday.
Daniels recorded his fifth double-double of the season Saturday, and his 12 dimes were tied for his second most of the year. He also reached the 20-point threshold for the first time since Dec. 14, finishing as the Hawks' third-leading scorer behind Nickeil Alexander-Walker (31 points) and Jalen Johnson (30 points). Daniels has recorded at least seven assists in five straight games and will continue to serve as one of the Hawks' top distributors, especially in games for which Trae Young (quadriceps) doesn't play, as was the case Saturday.

Hawks' Nickeil Alexander-Walker: Game-high 31 points in loss
Alexander-Walker logged 31 points (10-19 FG, 6-11 3Pt, 5-5 FT), four rebounds, three assists and two steals over 36 minutes during the Hawks' 134-117 loss to the Raptors on Saturday.
Alexander-Walker did commit six turnovers, his highest since Nov. 4 against the Magic (seven), but the seventh-year guard led both teams in scoring while connecting on at least six three-pointers for the fifth time this season. He has started in each of Atlanta's last four games in the absence of Trae Young (quadriceps), and over that span, Alexander-Walker has averaged 23.8 points, 3.5 assists, 3.0 rebounds, 4.5 threes and 1.5 steals over 35.3 minutes per game.

Hawks' Jalen Johnson: Goes for 30 points Saturday
Johnson notched 30 points (10-21 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 6-9 FT), seven rebounds and nine assists across 37 minutes in Saturday's 134-117 loss to the Raptors.
Johnson saw his streak of games with a double-double or a triple-double snap at 12, but he still posted an impressive stat line while reaching the 30-point mark for the second time in his last three games. Johnson has scored at least 30 points seven times this season, and he should remain as the Hawks' go-to option on offense, even ahead of Trae Young.

Hawks' Luke Kennard: Won't play Saturday
Kennard has been ruled out for Saturday's game against Toronto due to back soreness, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports.
Kennard will take a seat for the tail end of the Hawks' back-to-back set due to back pain. With Trae Young (quadriceps) also out, Atlanta will have to lean on Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Vit Krejci and Keaton Wallace. Kennard's next chance to play will come Monday in a rematch with the Raptors.

Hawks' Kristaps Porzingis: Won't play vs. Toronto
Porzingis (illness) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Raptors, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports.
Porzingis has come off the bench in each of the Hawks' last two games following a 10-game absence due to an illness, though he was limited to just 17 minutes in each of those contests. He'll be sidelined for Saturday's contest but could be available for Monday's rematch against Toronto. Onyeka Okongwu will continue to serve as the Hawks' starting center, while Mouhamed Gueye and Asa Newell are in line for more minutes off the bench in Porzingis' absence.

Hawks' Trae Young: Unavailable Saturday
Young (quadriceps) is listed as out for Saturday's game against Toronto, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports.
Young will be sidelined for a fourth straight game due to a bruised right quad. His absence will likely allow for Nickeil Alexander-Walker to draw another start, while Keaton Wallace and Vit Krejci could see an uptick in playing time off the bench. Young's next chance to play will come Monday in a rematch with the Raptors.

Hawks' Caleb Houstan: Back with parent club
The Hawks recalled Houstan from the G League's College Park Skyhawks ahead of Saturday's game against the Raptors.
Houstan played 29 minutes during the Skyhawks' G League win over the Birmingham Squadron on Friday, finishing with 14 points (4-13 FG, 4-11 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three rebounds, one assist and one block. The fourth-year forward will be available for Saturday's road game, though he hasn't appeared in an NBA game since Dec. 3 against the Clippers.

Hawks' Zaccharie Risacher: Chips in 12 points in win
Risacher supplied 12 points (4-7 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 3-5 FT), five rebounds and one assist over 22 minutes during Friday's 111-99 victory over the Knicks.
Risacher delivered a more efficient performance than he did during Wednesday's win over Minnesota, when he shot 40.0 percent from the field and finished with nine points. Still, the 2024 No. 1 overall pick has yet to take a step forward compared to his rookie season, and he has scored in single digits in three of his last five games. During that stretch, he has averaged 8.4 points and 3.4 rebounds in 22.4 minutes per tilt.

Hawks' Kristaps Porzingis: Shooting woes in win
Porzingis racked up four points (1-8 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, two assists and two steals across 17 minutes during Friday's 111-99 win over New York.
Porzingis is still seemingly on a minutes restriction following a 10-game absence due to an illness, and he struggled to find his groove in his second game back from the extended absence Friday. The big man delivered his least efficient performance of the season and put up single-digit shot attempts for just the second time across 15 regular-season appearances. With Onyeka Okongwu's high level of play this season, it wouldn't be surprising to see Porzingis remain in a bench role going forward, especially if his health continues to be a concern.

Hawks' Onyeka Okongwu: Full stat line in win
Okongwu recorded 23 points (9-16 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-4 FT), nine rebounds, three steals, two assists and two blocks in 30 minutes during Friday's 111-99 victory over New York.
Okongwu turned in an efficient performance Friday, matching the team-high mark in points. The big man was productive across the board, particularly on the defensive end, where he tallied multiple steals and multiple blocks for the seventh time this season. Okongwu is in the midst of a career year and has scored 23-plus points in three of his last four outings, during which he has averaged 24.3 points, 11.3 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.3 steals across 32.0 minutes per contest.

Hawks' Jalen Johnson: Records another triple-double
Johnson notched 18 points (7-14 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 3-6 FT), 10 rebounds, 11 assists and two steals across 38 minutes in Friday's 111-99 win over the Knicks.
Johnson has been a triple-double machine this season, and by now, it seems he's a candidate to achieve this goal every time he steps on the hardwood. He has posted either a triple-double (six) or a double-double (nine) in each of his last 15 appearances, and unsurprisingly, he's averaging a triple-double over that stretch with 26.4 points, 11.3 rebounds and 10.1 assists per contest.

Hawks' Onyeka Okongwu: Returns to Friday's contest
Okongwu (laceration) has been cleared to return to Friday's game against the Knicks.
Okongwu received stitches for a laceration to his head and re-entered the game at the 6:32 mark of the second quarter. He logged 11 points and two rebounds over seven minutes prior to his exit late in the first quarter.

Hawks' Onyeka Okongwu: Exits to locker room
Okongwu exited to the locker room in the first quarter of Friday's game against the Knicks due to an apparent laceration, Lauren L. Williams of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Okongwu headed to the back with 1:02 remaining in the first quarter to treat a cut. If he's unable to return, Kristaps Porzingis and Asa Newell are candidates for increased minutes the rest of the way.
