The 76ers are scheduled for a matchup with the 2-16 Wizards, so the 35-year-old vet may opt for a rest day with his back tightening up on him. Drummond attempted to play through the knee issue during Sunday's loss to the Hawks, but he only managed to log six minutes before tapping out after halftime. The 76ers have a four-game week during Week 7, so it might make sense to give Drummond the night off. If he is forced to join Joel Embiid (knee) on the inactive list, Adem Bona and Dominick Barlow would see a boost.

76ers' VJ Edgecombe: Handles light minutes in return
Edgecombe (calf) recorded seven points (3-6 FG, 1-4 3Pt), two rebounds, two assists and two steals across 21 minutes in Sunday's 142-134 double-overtime loss to the Hawks.
Edgecombe made his return after sitting out Philadelphia's prior three games while managing a left calf issue, but he seemingly had some restrictions in place. The 21 minutes he received were by far his fewest of the season, as he had logged at least 32 minutes in each of his previous 15 appearances. Edgecombe should eventually return to a 30-plus-minute role once he gets fully ramped up, but the rookie No. 3 overall pick appears to have settled in as more of a supporting player for Philadelphia after he wowed fantasy managers with a 34-point performance on 31.2 percent usage in his NBA debut back on Oct. 22. Since then, Edgecombe is averaging 13.8 points, 5.7 boards, 4.1 assists, 1.7 three-pointers and 1.3 steals in 36.0 minutes per contest while shooting 39.8 percent from the field and 78.1 percent from the charity stripe.

76ers' Joel Embiid: Season-high 30 minutes in return
Embiid (knee) registered 18 points (6-14 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 6-8 FT), four rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block across 30 minutes in Sunday's 142-134 double-overtime loss to the Hawks.
Making just his seventh appearance of the season after missing the 76ers' prior nine games due to right knee injury management, Embiid surprisingly ended up seeing his most minutes of the campaign. The 76ers may have planned to keep Embiid closer to his season-long average of 23.3 minutes per game heading into Sunday, but the two extra periods likely contributed to him seeing some extra run. The 76ers did still elect to hold Embiid out for the entire second overtime period, and the veteran center remains likely to have his minutes monitored carefully moving forward, even though he's ostensibly healthy again. Embiid is also a good bet to continue sitting out one half of back-to-back sets, with the 76ers' next one coming Thursday (versus Warriors) and Friday (at Bucks).

McCain provided five points (2-7 FG, 1-2 3Pt), four rebounds, one assist and one steal in 28 minutes during Sunday's 142-134 double-overtime loss to Atlanta.
McCain did not have a great night from the field and did not have much of an impact in his 28 minutes, even with the team playing in two overtime periods. On the season, McCain is averaging 6.8 points, 1.6 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.3 threes made across 17.1 minutes.

76ers' Dominick Barlow: Stuffs stat sheet Sunday
Barlow contributed 10 points (5-9 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 0-1 FT), six rebounds, three assists, two blocks and three steals across 45 minutes during Sunday's 142-134 double-overtime loss to the Hawks.
Barlow couldn't repeat the double-double he logged in the win over the Nets on Friday, but he did an excellent job filling out the stat sheet and recorded at least two tallies in each of the five major categories. Barlow should remain a decent fantasy alternative until further notice due to the recent injury woes affecting the 76ers' frontcourt, but if Joel Embiid and Andre Drummond (knee) are available, Barlow won't have much upside even in deeper leagues.

George had 16 points (6-17 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, four assists and five steals in 28 minutes during Sunday's 142-134 double-overtime loss to Atlanta.
George didn't have his best shooting percentage, making 35.2 percent of his shots and 25 percent of his treys, but he made an impact in other areas. The five steals were a season high for the veteran forward, who logged a season-high 28 minutes in this double-overtime loss. George should remain in the starting lineup as long as he stays healthy. Even though he won't be the stat-filling machine he was during his prime years, he's still a serviceable player in most fantasy formats due to his ability to contribute in multiple categories with ease. Through five games this season, he's averaging 14.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 2.0 steals and 0.6 blocks per contest.

Grimes recorded 28 points (8-15 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 8-8 FT), 10 rebounds, four assists and two steals over 47 minutes during Sunday's 142-134 double-overtime loss to the Hawks.
Grimes went back to the bench after a three-game spell in the starting lineup due to the return of VJ Edgecombe (calf), but the former still produced stellar numbers in this double-overtime loss to Atlanta. This 28-point output was a season-high mark for Grimes, who has cleared the 20-point mark six times already this season, though none as a starter. Regardless of his role going forward, he should continue to be a reliable source of scoring.

Maxey erupted for 44 points (14-31 FG, 2-13 3Pt, 14-17 FT), seven rebounds, nine assists and one block over 52 minutes during Sunday's double-overtime loss to the Hawks.
Maxey struggled from long range for most of this game, but with 8.3 seconds left in regulation, he came through with a big-time clutch bucket, drilling a kick-out triple to send the game to overtime. Unfortunately, despite Maxey's heroics, the 76ers couldn't bring home the win, and they're now 5-6 at home on the season.

76ers' Andre Drummond: Exits early Sunday
Drummond left Sunday's game against the Hawks early and did not return due to right knee soreness, Tony Jones of The Athletic reports.
Drummond came into Sunday's game dealing with a right knee contusion, and head coach Nick Nurse said postgame that soreness reemerged in the knee, causing Drummond to be ruled out for the second half of the game. Drummond concludes the contest with two points (1-1 FG) and one rebound in five minutes. If he is forced to miss time, Adem Bona could see an increased role.
