Spurs' Kyle Mangas: Joins Spurs on two-way deal
Mangas agreed to a two-way contract with the Spurs on Friday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.
Mangas has averaged 18.5 points, 5.0 assists, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.5 steals for the Austin Spurs in the G League, catching the attention of San Antonio. In order to clear a roster spot, the Spurs waived Riley Minix.

Spurs' Victor Wembanyama: Expected to play Saturday
Wembanyama (calf) is expected to play in Saturday's game against the Thunder, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Wembanyama has been sidelined by a calf strain since Nov. 14, but he's been traveling with the Spurs on their current road trip and is closing in on a return. Final clearance on his status was expected to be determined following Friday's practice, though San Antonio has officially listed the superstar big man as probable on its injury report. Wembanyama's presence would dampen the fantasy appeal of Luke Kornet considerably. However, the superstar center is likely to face restrictions when given the green light.

Spurs' De'Aaron Fox: Scores 20 points in win
Fox registered 20 points (8-17 FG, 4-8 3Pt), four rebounds, three assists and two steals across 31 minutes during Wednesday's 132-119 win over the Lakers.
Fox has been key for the Spurs as they defeated the Lakers in the NBA Cup quarterfinals, hitting clutch shots at the end of the game to seal the deal. In his last six appearances, Fox averages 24.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 5.3 assists, 1.3 steals and 2.8 threes on a 43.6 percent clip across 31.0 minutes.

Spurs' Luke Kornet: Flirts with double-double in win
Kornet notched 10 points (1-3 FG, 8-9 FT), eight rebounds, one assist and one block over 33 minutes during Wednesday's 132-119 victory over the Lakers.
Kornet saw the court for over 30 minutes for just the second time this season and took nine trips to the free-throw line, cashing in on eight of them. With the return of Victor Wembanyama (calf) imminent, Kornet will likely be relegated to the bench as a result but should still maintain a sizable role within San Antonio's rotation.

Spurs' Julian Champagnie: Puts up 16 off bench in win
Champagnie accumulated 16 points (6-8 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal across 29 minutes during Wednesday's 132-119 win over the Lakers.
Champagnie stuffed the stat sheet Wednesday against the Lakers and has been impressive even after being relegated to the second unit due to the returns of De'Aaron Fox and Stephon Castle. In his last two games off the bench, Champagnie averages 16.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.5 steals, 0.5 blocks and 3.5 threes on a blistering 53.8 percent clip across 29.0 minutes.

Spurs' Jordan McLaughlin: Left outside rotation in return
McLaughlin (hamstring) recorded no statistics while playing the final 1:09 of Wednesday's 132-119 win over the Lakers.
McLaughlin was back in action after missing the Spurs' previous 15 games with a strained hamstring, but he didn't check into Wednesday's contest after San Antonio already had the win well in hand. Now that the Spurs backcourt is fully healthy, McLaughlin is likely to find himself outside of the rotation on a regular basis.

Spurs' Devin Vassell: Downward trend continues
Vassell provided eight points (2-10 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 3-3 FT), four rebounds, five assists, one block and three steals over 31 minutes during Wednesday's 132-119 victory over the Lakers.
Vassell scored single digits for the second straight game, continuing to feel the effect of the returning Stephon Castle. In two games since Castle's return, Vassell has averaged 6.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.5 steals -- well below his season numbers. While he will likely be better than this, it does appear that his high point may have come and gone.

Spurs' Lindy Waters: Back in rotation Wednesday
Waters ended Wednesday's 132-119 win over the Lakers with one rebound in one minute.
Waters moved back into the rotation, albeit for one minute during garbage time. It's been a quiet season for Waters, typically seeing the court either in garbage time or when someone is dealing with foul issues. In his 12 appearances, Waters is averaging just 2.1 points in 6.9 minutes.

Spurs' Victor Wembanyama: Could return Saturday
Spurs head coach Mitch Johnson said Wednesday that there's "very much" a chance that Wembanyama (calf) will return for Saturday's NBA Cup Semifinals game against the Thunder, Jared Weiss of The Athletic reports.
Wembanyama has missed 12 straight games with a strained left calf, but he's been a full participant in practice recently. Johnson also said that Wembanyama had "a very good day" Wednesday. The Spurs have gone 10-2 without the star center, but he'd offer a massive boost against a Thunder team that's been nearly unbeatable. Even if Wembanyama is cleared to face OKC, he'd likely have his minutes monitored due to the lengthy absence and touchy nature of the injury.

Spurs' Stephon Castle: Drops 30 points against Lakers
Castle generated 30 points (10-14 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 7-9 FT), 10 rebounds and six assists across 27 minutes during Wednesday's 132-119 win over the Lakers.
Castle set a season high in points, and he got anything he wanted offensively against a lackluster Lakers defense. His three three-pointers tied a season high. It was Castle's second game back after a nine-game absence due to injury, and he saw his playing time jump from 23 to 27 minutes. The second-year guard is averaging 18.2 points, 7.3 assists, 6.1 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game this season.

Spurs' Jordan McLaughlin: Cleared for return
McLaughlin (hamstring) will play in Wednesday's game against the Lakers, NBA reporter Matthew Tynan reports.
McLaughlin will return from a 10-game absence due to a strained left hamstring. Although his return will provide San Antonio with additional guard depth, he likely won't crack the Spurs' rotation Wednesday night.

Spurs' Carter Bryant: Cleared to play Wednesday
Bryant (illness) is available for Wednesday's NBA Cup quarterfinal contest against the Lakers, NBA reporter Matthew Tynan reports.
Bryant has been cleared to play Wednesday after being added to the injury report due to an illness. The rookie first rounder has averaged just 8.6 minutes per game over his last 11 outings, but his presence gives the Spurs added depth on the wing.
