Boxing schedule for 2026: Oleksandr Usyk vs. Rico Verhoeven, Xander Zayas vs. Jaron Ennis on tap

The boxing calendar is loading up quickly as the first half of 2026 is drawing to a close. After a quick start to the year in January and February, tons of fights have been announced for spring and summer ... and a major one in September.

The early highlight of the schedule was Shakur Stevenson's domination of Teofimo Lopez Jr. to win the WBO junior welterweight championship. It was a true pound-for-pound performance from Stevenson, who won nearly every second of a fight against the most dangerous foe of his career.

On Feb. 21, Ryan Garcia picked up the biggest win of his career, becoming world champion for the first time when he defeated Mario Barrios for the WBC welterweight title. Another big name made his comeback on April 12 as Tyson Fury ended his fifth retirement to score a decision win over Arslanbek Makhmudov.

In May, Naoya Inoue again proved his place at the top of the sport, taking a hard-fought win over tough challenger Junto Nakatani, David Benavidez thrashed Gilberto Ramirez to claim two cruiserweight titles, and Daniel Dubois grabbed heavyweight gold again, this time with a violent performance against Fabio Wardley.

Oleksandr Usyk is set to return this coming weekend, facing kickboxer Rico Verhoeven with Usyk's WBC heavyweight championship on the line.

All eyes are also on a rematch of one of history's biggest fights, which is already set for September when Floyd Mayweather runs it back with Manny Pacquiao.
