HANOVER, N.H. (AP) Matt Morgan scored 28 points and Cornell held off Dartmouth's late surge for a 69-65 victory on Friday night.
Dartmouth had its last lead, 51-48, with about nine minutes left before the Big Red used a 17-6 run to take a 65-57 lead with 2:27 remaining. Robert Hatter scored six points and Morgan had four during the stretch.
Wesley Dickinson made a jumper, Evan Boudreaux hit a 3-pointer and Guilien Smith split a pair of free throws to pull Dartmouth to 65-63 with 58 seconds remaining. Morgan made two free throws, Smith missed a 3, and Morgan hit two more from the line to seal it.
Morgan was 9 of 15 from the floor and made three 3-pointers. Stone Gettings added 13 points and 10 rebounds for Cornell (7-17, 3-6 Ivy League).
Boudreaux matched a career high with 27 points for Dartmouth (5-17, 2-7). Smith finished with 15 points.
