Stevens, Clifford lead Colorado State past San Diego State

Isaiah Stevens and Nique Clifford each scored 20 points to lead Colorado State to a 79-71 victory over visiting San Diego State on Tuesday night.

Clifford added 10 rebounds, five assists and a career-high four steals as Colorado State (16-5, 4-4 Mountain West Conference) avoided a third straight loss.

Reese Waters led the way for San Diego State (16-5, 5-3) with 17 points.

The Aztecs have split their last six games after re-entering The AP Top 25 at No. 19 on Jan. 8.
