Each Monday, the ACC announces the conference’s Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week.

To save time, rather than waiting until the games have been played, we’ll just tell you who’s going to win the weekly awards for every week of the upcoming season.

Nov. 12:  Player of the Week -- James Michael McAdoo, UNC. He’s the best player on the only team that plays twice in the season’s first weekend.

Rookie of the Week -- Rasheed Sulaimon, Duke. He’ll open the season as the Blue Devils’ starting shooting guard.

Nov. 19: Player of the Week-- Lorenzo Brown, NC State. We’re going to go out on a limb and declare the Wolfpack the winner of the Puerto Rico Tip-Off.

Rookie of the Week -- Rodney Purvis, NC State.

Nov. 26:  Player of the Week -- Mason Plumlee, Duke. Plumlee will use his size and improved shooting touch to lead the Blue Devils to a Battle 4 Atlantis title.

Rookie of the Week -- Marcus Paige, UNC. Even if the Tar Heels don’t win the Maui Invitational, Carolina’s freshman point guard will get plenty of television exposure over Thanksgiving week.

Dec. 3: Player of the Week -- Michael Snaer, Florida State. It’s ACC-Big Ten Challenge week. Snaer will face Minnesota.

Rookie of the Week -- Jake Layman, Maryland. Shaquille Cleare and Charles Mitchell may be the bigger-name recruits entering Maryland this season, but Layman may be most ready to contribute early.

Dec. 10: Player of the Week -- C.J. Leslie, NC State. The Wolfpack play Connecticut in New York, in the Jimmy V Classic. The ACC Preseason Player of the Year will shine on the big stage.

Rookie of the Week -- Robert Carter, Georgia Tech.

Dec. 17: Player of the Week -- Erick Green, Virginia Tech. The ACC schools hit exam week. There are only eight games scheduled in the conference for the week, and the Hokies play two of them -- against Mississippi Valley State and Georgia Southern.

Rookie of the Week -- Joel James, UNC. The Tar Heels have the only national game of the week, against East Carolina.

Dec. 24: Player of the Week -- Plumlee, Duke. The Blue Devils have back-to-back games against Cornell and Elon, which should give Plumlee a chance for a pre-holiday feast against undersized foes.

Rookie of the Week -- Codi Miller-McIntyre, Wake Forest.

Dec. 31: Player of the Week -- Reggie Johnson, Miami. It’s another light week for the conference as coaches try to give their teams a holiday break before conference play begins. Only 10 games are on the slate.

Rookie of the Week -- Michael Ojo, Florida State.

Jan. 7: Player of the Week -- Snaer, Florida State. The Seminoles open ACC play with Clemson, easily the best matchup of the conference Player of the Year candidates.

Rookie of the Week -- Shaquille Cleare, Maryland.

Jan. 14: Player of the Week -- Leslie, NC State. The Wolfpack get the Blue Devils at home in the game of the week.

Rookie of the Week – Montay Brandon, Florida State. The 6-7 guard will be shooting from the outside against the Tar Heels in the second-biggest game of the week.

Jan. 21: Player of the Week -- Green, Virginia Tech.

Rookie of the Week-- Sulaimon, Duke. This is the point in the season when coach Mike Krzyzewski starts tinkering with lineups and player rotations, which should help Sulaimon go on a shooting tear.

Jan. 28:  Player of the Week -- Brown, NC State. The Wolfpack play the Tar Heels in Raleigh. We’re projecting an emotion-fueled blowout.  

Rookie of the Week -- Purvis, NC State.

Feb. 4: Player of the Week -- McAdoo, UNC.

Rookie of the Week -- Cleare, Maryland.

Feb. 11: Player of the Week -- Plumlee, Duke. The Blue Devils get revenge against NC State.

Rookie of the Week -- Brandon, Florida State.

Feb. 18: Player of the Week -- Leslie McDonald, UNC. It’s Carolina-Duke week. The Tar Heels seem to have one more guard than the Blue Devils have defenders.

Rookie of the Week -- Jaron Blossomgame, Clemson.

Feb. 25: Player of the Week -- Plumlee, Duke.

Rookie of the Week -- Paige, UNC.

March 4: Player of the Week-- Leslie, NC State. The conference race hits the home stretch, and State has games against Boston College and Georgia Tech.

Rookie of the Week -- Purvis, NC State.

March 11: Player of the Week -- McAdoo, UNC. The Tar Heels sweep the Blue Devils.

Rookie of the Week -- Purvis, NC State.
