FAIRFIELD, Conn. (AP) Tahron Allen led Wagner with 22 points and secured the victory with a hook shot with 44 seconds left as the Seahawks took down Sacred Heart 60-57 on Wednesday night in the Northeast Conference Tournament.
The Seahawks will play at top-seeded Central Connecticut in the semifinals on Saturday.
Allen also had six rebounds for the Seahawks (14-15). Tyje Kelton scored 12 points and added six rebounds. Javier Esquerra Trelles went 4 of 10 from the field (2 for 5 from 3-point range) to finish with 10 points.
The Pioneers (16-16) were led by Alex Sobel, who posted 15 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks. Nico Galette added 10 points and eight rebounds for Sacred Heart.
Wagner went into the half leading Sacred Heart 35-31. Allen scored 12 points in the half. Allen scored 10 points in the second half for Wagner including the game-winning shot in the final minute.
