Alan Williams netted a double-double with 26 points and 19 rebounds as the University of California Santa Barbara beat Cal Poly 64-56 in the regular season finale for both teams. John Green added 11 points for the Gauchos (18-12, 11-5) who head to the Big West championship tournament in Anaheim on March 12. UC Santa Barbara took a 27-16 lead late in the first half with the help of a pair of 3-pointers by T.J. Taylor and a third by Gabe Vincent and the Gauchos were up 30-20 at halftime.
