John Calipari has accepted an offer to coach the Dominican Republic national team at the 2012 FIBA World Olympic Qualifying Tournament, according to his website. The qualifier features 12 national teams, with the top-three making the Olympics. The Dominican Republic, which will train in Kentucky’s practice facilities, has never qualified for the Olympics.
