After a 22-point loss to Florida last weekend, Kentucky coach John Calipari hit the reboot button on his team in practice. Similar to the famous 2014 "tweak" which helped take his team from unranked to national title game, Calipari is looking to spark a similar turnaround as the SEC slate hits the final stretch.

That began Tuesday, and was met with mixed results. Kentucky jumped ahead of LSU by as many as 25 points before allowing the Tigers to make it a game in the final eight minutes in a 92-85 Wildcats victory.

After the win, Calipari held a three-hour practice the following day that consisted of "90 percent D." Calipari wants his defense to improve, which he has made very clear.

Kentucky faces Alabama on Saturday. Here's how you can watch the game on TV or streaming online, along with matchups to watch and a pick against the spread.

Scouting report

For Kentucky, one defensive issue revolves around Bam Adebayo. The 6-foot-10 center has found foul trouble early recently, somewhat restricting the Wildcats and what personnel they can play down low. It's not easy replacing 260-pound big men.

Alabama has the exact opposite issue. Its defense can keep the Crimson Tide in games, but they are offensively limited with just two players averaging double figures this season. But in Alabama's thrilling four-overtime win over South Carolina earlier this week, the bench was critical. Look for Avery Johnson Jr., reserve point guard and son of Alabama coach Avery Johnson, to continue his hot streak. He scored a season-high 23 points in the win over the Gamecocks.

Matchups to watch

The point guard matchup between De'Aaron Fox and Alabama will be interesting. Given Johnson Jr.'s recent emergence, it might be a combat-by-committee approach using Johnson and Dazon Ingram, with his 6-5 frame, to defend Fox.

Kentucky's offense, which is the seventh fastest in the country, is predicated on running in transition and getting quick, open looks with Fox using his speed. Limiting those opportunities will be key to Alabama looking to complete an upset.

Odds and pick

SportsLine odds: Kentucky -7.5

SportsLine projection: Kentucky 80, Alabama 72

Pick: Alabama +7.5

The "reboot," as Calipari termed it, will take time to work itself out. You can't fix defensive issues in three days, even if you practice for hours on end.

An emotionally charged Alabama team coming off a dramatic conference win will have all the confidence to keep it within eight on its home floor in my opinion. I like Alabama to cover the spread but Kentucky wins it 81-76.
