Kansas will add Memphis transfer Tarik Black, a source close to the situation told CBSSports.com.
The 6-foot-9 big man was a heralded prospect entering college but didn't quite live up to expectations. He averaged 8.1 points and 4.8 rebounds this past season in 20.8 minutes per game.
Black, who was also considering Duke and Oregon, will be eligible to play this season for Bill Self and the Jayhawks after graduating this year.
The addition of Black, who should certainly help a KU frontcourt that lost all three starters, and top-ranked high schooler Andrew Wiggins last week should make the Jayhawks a legitimate Final Four contender.
