North Carolina coach Roy Williams became the fifth active coach to reach 800 career wins on Monday after dominating Syracuse in the Dean Dome.
Williams became the second-fastest coach to reach the 800-win mark behind Adolph Rupp.
After the landmark win, the Hall of Fame coach was honored in a ceremony on the floor in front of the home fans. The university gave him a pretty nifty commemorative jersey.

Perhaps the best gift came from UNC legend Michael Jordan, who gifted him a custom pair of Jordan sneakers signed by MJ himself. UNC players were absolutely stunned with the icy kicks.

After the game Williams said the best news was not dying. Getting to 800 wins and stacking up some memorabilia from MJ probably ranks closely below that.
