About Kansas State: Kansas State coach Bruce Weber was thought to be on the hot seat this season, but he’s led the Wildcats to a 20-win season with upset victories over Baylor (twice) and West Virginia to get them here. With three starting sophomores, this team is young (but well disciplined) and a very smart defensive team.
About Wake Forest: The Demon Deacons have a bona fide star in sophomore forward John Collins. Averaging close to 20 points and 9.8 rebounds per game, he’s a monster on the glass and a clean-up machine. Danny Manning and his staff pound the ball inside and it could be an advantage over K-State, which lacks a dominant post presence.

Give me K-State here. I think Wake will give the Wildcats some headaches with Collins down low, but Weber has a trio of youngsters in Dean Wade, Kamau Stokes and Barry Brown who can get after it and get buckets. And I always pick teams who can get buckets.
