No. 4 Oregon vs. Baylor (3:30 p.m., ESPN2): The Ducks will be without their best player in Dillon Brooks, and Baylor has a pretty solid point guard in rising junior Manu Leconte. It could be a sneaky Tuesday opening game in Waco.
No. 2 Kentucky vs. No. 13 Michigan State (7 p.m., ESPN): Miles Bridges vs. the Wildcats. This one will be a really fun one in Madison Square Garden.
No. 18 Syracuse vs. Holy Cross (7 p.m., ACC Network/Watch ESPN): Holy Cross lost to South Carolina by 32 on Sunday. Syracuse should inch one game closer to Jim Boeheim's 1,000th career win.
No. 8 Virginia vs. St. Francis (7 p.m., ACC Network): Tony Bennett's defensive juggernaut should have no issues with St. Francis. Memphis transfer Austin Nichols will make his season debut, as will big man Mamadi Diakite.
No. 5 North Carolina vs. Long Beach State (8 p.m., ACC Network): The Tar Heels have key pieces back from last season's national title runner-up. Joel Berry is maybe the best player on the team that nobody is talking about.
No. 9 Wisconsin vs. No. 22 Creighton (8:30 p.m., Fox Sports 1): Nigel Hayes and Bronson Koenig lead an experienced Badgers team on the road against Creighton, which has the back court to give Wisconsin all it can handle.
No. 1 Duke vs. No. 7 Kansas (9:30 p.m., ESPN): Frank Mason III and Devonte' Graham are attacking guards who should be able to keep the Blue Devils on their heels. Even without Harry Giles, Jayson Tatum and Marques Bolden, Duke should be able to make this one competitive. Grayson Allen and Frank Jackson have been on fire to start the season.
No. 10 Arizona vs. Cal-State Bakersfield (10 p.m., Pac-12 Network): Arizona won a thriller against Michigan State on Friday, and it should have no issues against Cal-State Bakersfield. Freshman Kobi Simmons scored 18 in his Wildcats debut and he can drop a flurry of points quickly. Sean Miller is without Allonzo Trier for the foreseeable future, but this team still has some very good pieces -- perhaps none more intriguing than big-man freshman Lauri Markkanen.
