An ugly first half of basketball in Athens between Georgia and Missouri ended in entertaining fashion.
Following the halftime buzzer with the home team trailing 26-20, what appeared to be some jawing from both sides turned into a scuffle. The benches, of course, cleared due to the halftime buzzer, but both teams were on the floor and part of the argument.
Even coaches got involved.
Georgia's director of basketball operations Kent Davison and Missouri assistant coach Steve Shields were assessed technical fouls, according to DawgNation.com.
No free throws were awarded after the technicals were handed out by the officiating crew. However, both the Dawgs and Tigers each began the second half with a team foul.
Georgia head coach Mark Fox and Missouri head coach Kim Anderson reportedly exchanged embraces after the scuffle concluded.
