Rio Grande Valley dished Rodriguez to the G League Spurs in exchange for the returning player rights of Josh Huestis on Tuesday.

Over 35 minutes of action Friday, Rodriguez reached the 19-point mark offensively by shooting 58.3 percent overall while making at least one tally in every major statistical category. In 15 outings in the G League currently, the Puerto Rican is averaging 16.1 points, 5.7 assists and 4.5 rebounds per game.

Rodriguez is verging on missing two straight weeks with a shoulder injury which he suffered back in late November. Brandon Sampson and Vincent Edwards have continued to see their playing time hover near 40 minutes with Rodriguez on the mend.

Rodriguez played just eight minutes during a contest against the Iowa Wolves on Saturday, evidently picking up an undisclosed injury in the process. The point guard will have a chance to play against the Salt Lake City Stars on Friday, or more than likely when the two meet for a rematch on Monday.
