Hernandez was the star for Westchester in the victory, leading the team in scoring, rebounds and blocks. The big man registered an efficient 14-for-19 shooting line and even knocked down two three-pointers after going six straight games without converting a shot from beyond the arc. Hernandez has been a steady force for the G League Knicks this season, posting per-game averages of 20.6 points, 9.3 rebounds, 1.1 steals and 1.1 blocks over 30 contests.

Hernandez tied his season high with 31 points in the victory and added 10 boards for his 13th double-double of the regular season. The 6-foot-10 center followed with a more modest 16-point, four-rebound game Thursday, but he went 2-for-2 from three-point range to finish with multiple treys for the third time during the campaign. Hernandez is averaging 21.2 points and 9.4 boards while shooting 59.0 percent from the field in 23 games for Westchester.

That sort of consistency would certainly be welcomed by Westchester and could help Hernandez in his quest to earn another chance at the NBA level.
