Oni appeared in 16 games for the Jazz during his third season with the team and averaged a career-low 2.8 minutes per game. The trade allowed the Jazz to save money and open a roster spot, while the move to waive Oni also allowed the Thunder to open up a roster spot ahead of the February trade deadline.
