Bal is in the Grizzlies' starting lineup against the Jazz on Friday.
The Grizzlies have seven players ruled out for Friday's game (and seven more done for the rest of the season), so Bal will be in the starting lineup for the first time in his NBA career. He is on his second 10-day contract with Memphis, and across seven regular-season games he is averaging 9.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 2.1 threes and 1.1 steals over 29.0 minutes per contest.

Grizzlies' Adama Bal: Second 10-day deal with Memphis
The Grizzlies signed Bal to a second 10-day contract Tuesday.
With the Grizzlies hurting for healthy bodies during the final week of the season, Bal is back with Memphis to help soak up more playing time. Over six appearances, Bal has averaged 8.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.0 steals and 2.2 three-pointers in 27.3 minutes per game while shooting 43.3 percent from beyond the arc.

Adama Bal: Contract expires
Bal became a free agent Tuesday after his 10-day contract with the Grizzlies expired.
Bal ended his 10-day stint with Memphis with his best performance yet, drilling six of the Grizzlies' NBA-record-tying 29 three-pointers in Monday's 142-126 loss to the Cavaliers on his way to finishing with 20 points, six rebounds and one steal in 37 minutes. Overall, Bal shot 41.3 percent from the field and 43.3 percent from downtown while averaging 8.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.2 triples, 1.7 assists and 1.0 steals in 27.3 minutes per contest over his first six NBA games. The Grizzlies will have the ability to re-sign Bal to a rest-of-season deal and could look to finalize a new contract for the undrafted rookie ahead of their next game Wednesday in Denver.

Grizzlies' Adama Bal: Career-high 11 points
Bal racked up 11 points (4-7 FG, 3-5 3Pt), two rebounds and two assists over 23 minutes during Wednesday's 130-119 loss to the Knicks.
Bal recorded his third consecutive career-high performance, albeit in his third career game. 'Tis the season, as they say, and Bal certainly epitomizes what the silly season can bring. With that said, none of his performances have jumped off the page, and with all the uncertainty in Memphis, there is no need to prioritze him, outside of deeper formats.

Grizzlies' Adama Bal: Logs 28 minutes in debut
Bal finished Saturday's 125-124 victory over the Bulls with three points (1-8 FG, 1-5 3Pt), three assists, two rebounds and two steals in 28 minutes.
Bal made his NBA debut, fresh off signing a 10-day contract earlier Saturday. With Memphis holding out 11 players due to injury and another (DeJon Jarreau, elbow) exiting early, Bal ended up seeing extensive playing time right out of the gate. However, Bal delivered a listless fantasy line Saturday, which had been par for the course during his time in the G League. Over his 29 appearances for the G League's Westchester Knicks prior to signing with Memphis, Bal averaged just 7.5 points, 1.8 rebounds, 1.4 three-pointers and 1.0 assists in 18.4 minutes per game.

Grizzlies' Adama Bal: Secures 10-day deal with Memphis
Bal agreed to a 10-day contract with the Grizzlies on Saturday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.
Bal has spent the entire 2025-26 season in the G League with the Westchester Knicks, appearing in 29 games while averaging 7.5 points, 1.8 rebounds, 1.4 three-pointers and 1.0 assists in 18.4 minutes per contest. The undrafted rookie out of Santa Clara should get the chance to make his NBA debut for the injury-plagued Grizzlies over the course of his 10-day deal, but he lacks a fantasy-friendly game and likely won't offer much utility even if he captures a regular 20-plus-minute role.
