John Petty: Limited output Sunday
Petty registered six points (2-5 FG, 2-5 3Pt), two rebounds and four assists across 22 minutes off the bench in Sunday's loss to the Vipers.
Petty didn't do much in this game, but that has been a trend with him all season long, and he should continue to hold a lesser role off the bench for a struggling Birmingham team. He's averaging just 6.0 points per game across 22 outings.

John Petty: Dealing with illness
Petty didn't play Saturday against Austin due to illness.
Petty has been a steady contributor off the bench for the Squadron, but his absence wasn't missed much in this game since Birmingham secured a 120-113 win over Austin. Petty's next chance to play would come until after the All-Star break, when the Squadron face the Blue on Feb. 23.

John Petty: Scores 18 points off bench
Petty notched 18 points (6-12 FG, 6-11 3Pt), five rebounds, three assists and a steal across 33 minutes off the bench in Sunday's loss to the Skyforce.
Petty has scored in double digits in back-to-back games, but this was the first time he posted those figures since Jan. 17. He has been inconsistent this season, but when he has been given the chance to perform, he usually delivers solid numbers regardless of his role.

John Petty: Scores 11 points off bench
Petty recorded 11 points (4-8 FG, 3-6 3Pt), four rebounds, an assist and a block across 27 minutes in Friday's loss to the Skyforce.
Petty looked impressive on limited minutes off the bench and was one of six Birmingham players that scored in double digits in this loss. The main issue with Petty is his lack of consistency, as he has been unable to string solid performances on a regular basis while coming off the bench. He's averaging 5.9 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game this season.

John Petty: Scores 12 points off bench
Petty delivered 12 points (4-5 FG, 4-5 3Pt), two rebounds and a steal across 20 minutes off the bench in Monday's loss to Ontario.
Petty did all of his damage from behind the arc, and he was a serviceable scoring threat off the bench in a game where the entire Birmingham team looked bad offensively. He should continue coming off the bench as the season progresses.

John Petty: Scores 16 points off bench
Petty posted 16 points (6-12 FG, 4-8 3Pt), five assists, three rebounds, two blocks and a steal across 28 minutes off the bench in Thursday's loss to Lakeland.
Petty has scored in double digits in two of his last three appearances, but overall, his season numbers have been quite inconsistent due to the own nature of his role off the bench. Petty only averages 7.1 points per game, but he should remain a consistent second-unit threat for the Squadron.

John Petty: Limited output Friday
Petty had five points (2-4 FG, 1-3 3Pt), two rebounds, two steals and an assist across 17 minutes off the bench in Friday's loss to the Capitanes.
Petty has made 10 appearances for Birmingham this season and has struggled to get things going offensively, something that was apparent here as well. The nature of his role doesn't suggest things will change soon, and he's averaging a meager 5.1 points per game on the season.

John Petty: Goes for 15 points
Petty racked up 15 points (6-13 FG, 3-8 3Pt), two assists, two blocks, a rebound and a steal across 35 minutes in Saturday's 129-103 loss to the Legends.
Petty scored a combined five points over his first two appearances of the season, but he enjoyed a bigger role in this one and responded with a solid scoring performance. This might lead to more minutes in the coming games for Petty, who failed to play more than 25 minutes in the first two contests of the campaign.
