Pelicans' Yves Missi: Grabs career-high 10 rebounds
Missi finished Friday's 125-118 victory over Indiana with four points (2-5 FG), 10 rebounds and one block in 26 minutes.
Missi replaced Daniel Theis in the starting lineup, hauling down a career-high 10 rebounds in the process. He has had a solid start to his NBA career, averaging 6.3 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.7 blocks in just 20.9 minutes per game. While it is unclear whether he will remain a starter, it is a situation to keep a close eye on given his proven ability, especially on the defensive end.

Pelicans' Yves Missi: Game-time call Friday
Missi is questionable for Friday's game against the Pacers due to a right lower abdominal contusion.
Missi was held to only 12 minutes in Wednesday's clash against the Warriors due to the same injury, so it's no surprise to see he's landed on the injury report ahead of Friday's game. The team will undoubtedly monitor the rookie closely leading up to tipoff to determine whether he can suit up.

Pelicans' Yves Missi: Limited by hip soreness
Missi was held scoreless (0-5 FG), with three rebounds and one assist across 12 minutes of Wednesday's 104-89 loss to the Warriors.
Missi logged fewer than 20 minutes for the first time this season despite Daniel Theis (ankle) seeing just five minutes Wednesday due to injury. Per Will Guillory of The Athletic, Missi was battling hip soreness stemming from a collision he had in Tuesday's game. Instead, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl saw most of the center work, totaling 23 minutes. While Missi hasn't put together any gaudy stat lines, he's been a strong per-minute producer and has been a great source of blocks.

Pelicans' Yves Missi: Three rejections in NBA debut
Missi provided 12 points (5-8 FG, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, one assist, three blocks and one steal in 23 minutes off the bench during Wednesday's 123-111 victory over the Bulls.
The 21st overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft made an impact at the rim in his debut while providing good all-around production. The 20-year-old Baylor product might not see this kind of workload on a regular basis, however. Zion Williamson (illness) missed Wednesday's game, with Daniel Theis playing 19 minutes as the Pelicans' starting center in his place. Once Williamson is healthy, Missi and Theis may have to split backup minutes in the frontcourt.

Pelicans' Yves Missi: 100 percent for camp
Pelicans vice president of basketball operations David Griffin said Monday that Missi (back) will be ready for training camp, Erin Summers of Bally Sports New Orleans reports.
Missi battled some minor back soreness during Summer League, but it was never expected to linger into training camp. The 21st overall pick in this year's draft, Missi has a massive opportunity to play meaningful minutes for the Pelicans due to their lack of frontcourt depth after the departure of Jonas Valanciunas.

Missi won't suit up for the Pelicans' final Summer League contest as he tends to pain in his lower back. The 20-year-old flashed some of the rim protection and athleticism in Las Vegas that coaxed the Pelicans into selecting him with the 21st overall pick in this year's draft. Pelicans' Yves Missi: Scores 11 points with three blocks
Missi went 5-of-8 from the floor and 1-of-2 at the line Thursday, tallying 11 points, six rebounds, one assist, three blocks and one turnover across 30 minutes in an exhibition loss to Memphis.
Missi hadn't been terribly impressive through his first three outings in Las Vegas, but he showed some promise Thursday with his instincts as a rim defender. He also exhibited some nice footwork in the post. Missi is an impressive athlete, so it'll be interesting to see what kind of role he can earn in New Orleans during his rookie season.
