Pelicans' Zion Williamson: Out for at least three weeks
Williamson (adductor) will be re-evaluated in three weeks, Shams Charania of ESPN reports Tuesday.
Williamson is dealing with a right adductor injury, and he's now facing his second extended absence of the season. Given the return timeline, the star forward is likely to remain on the shelf until some time in late December at the earliest. The Pelicans are now positioned to depend heavily on Saddiq Bey in the frontcourt, and Derik Queen should continue to play meaningful minutes as well.

Pelicans' Zion Williamson: Iffy for Tuesday
Williamson has been downgraded to questionable for Tuesday's game against the Timberwolves with right adductor soreness.
Williamson missed Sunday's game against the Lakers due to maintenance, so this is a new issue for the forward. The Pelicans tend to be cautious with Williamson, so there's a good chance he's held out. If he does sit out, the Pelicans could lean on guys such as Saddiq Bey and Micah Peavy.

Pelicans' Zion Williamson: Removed from injury report
Williamson (hamstring) is off the injury report for Tuesday's game against Minnesota.
After missing Sunday's game against the Lakers, Williamson is set to be available for Tuesday. The star forward has averaged 22.1 points, 5.6 rebounds and 4.0 assists in 30.9 minutes per tilt in 10 games this season.

Pelicans' Zion Williamson: Out for Sunday
Williamson (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Lakers.
Williamson will sit out the second leg of a back-to-back for injury management of his left hamstring, and with Trey Murphy (elbow) joining him on the sidelines, Saddiq Bey will likely be the focal point of the Pelicans' offense Sunday evening. Micah Peavy could be headed for a start, and Bryce McGowens should get all the run he can handle. Williamson will likely return for Tuesday's game against the Timberwolves.

Pelicans' Zion Williamson: Scores 25 points in loss
Williamson notched 25 points (8-16 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 9-10 FT), seven rebounds and four assists across 31 minutes during Saturday's 104-96 loss to the Warriors.
The Pelicans put up a good fight but came up short against the Warriors, although Williamson posted a strong stat line. Williamson has scored at least 20 points in three of his last four games, and he seems to be getting into a nice groove after missing eight games in a row between Nov. 4 and Nov. 17 due to a nagging hamstring problem. The lack of availability has always been an issue with Williamson, but when he's healthy and ready to go, he's a dominant force near the rim and an excellent rebounder for his size.

Pelicans' Zion Williamson: Goes for 29 points in win
Williamson totaled 29 points (8-14 FG, 13-16 FT), one rebound, two assists, one block and two steals over 30 minutes during Monday's 143-130 victory over the Bulls.
Williamson returned from a one-game absence, as he didn't play Saturday against the Hawks on the second leg of a back-to-back set. The 29-point output matched his previous season-high mark, and it marked the fourth time he's cleared the 25-point threshold in his eight outings. Williamson should remain one of the Pelicans' go-to scoring weapons as long as he stays healthy -- which has been a big "if" this season.

Pelicans' Zion Williamson: Available for Monday
Williamson (hamstring) is available for Monday's game against the Bulls.
Williamson missed the second half of a back-to-back set Saturday as he continues to manage a hamstring issue, but he will play Monday. Williamson has appeared in just two games since returning from an eight-game absence due to the hamstring injury, and he averaged 18.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.0 steals in 29.5 minutes per game in those two appearances.

Pelicans' Zion Williamson: Efficient in loss Friday
Williamson (hamstring) chipped in 22 points (7-9 FG, 8-11 FT), three rebounds, two assists and three steals in 30 minutes during Friday's 118-115 loss to the Mavericks.
Williamson was one of four players who scored at least 20 points for the Pelicans. Given that Saturday's game represents the second leg of a back-to-back set, he's a candidate to sit out the matchup against Atlanta, particularly since the Pelicans are being extremely cautious with his hamstring and want to avoid having him sidelined for a prolonged stretch. Williamson is averaging 18.7 points per game in three appearances in November and has played two straight games since missing eight contests in a row between Nov. 4 and Nov. 17.

Pelicans' Zion Williamson: Won't play Saturday
Williamson (hamstring) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Hawks.
Williamson has played in each of the Pelicans' last two games, but he'll be held out of the second leg of the team's back-to-back set Saturday while managing a lingering left hamstring injury. Over his last two games, the 2019 No. 1 overall pick averaged 18.0 points on 59.1 percent shooting, 4.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.0 steals over 29.5 minutes per contest. With Williamson sidelined, Yves Missi and Saddiq Bey are the top candidates to enter the Pelicans' starting lineup for Saturday's contest. Williamson's next opportunity to play is Monday against the Bulls.

Pelicans' Zion Williamson: Scores 14 points in return
Williamson (hamstring) finished Wednesday's 125-118 loss to the Nuggets with 14 points (6-13 FG, 2-4 FT), six rebounds, five assists, one steal and one block across 29 minutes.
Williamson returned to the floor following an eight-game absence due to a strained left hamstring. The star big man was one of four Pelicans players to score in double figures, though he put up fewer than 14 field-goal attempts for the second time in six appearances. Perhaps more encouraging than anything was his minutes count, as Williamson fell roughly in line with his season-long average of 31.4 from his first five appearances of the season. Though Williamson emerged from Wednesday's game seemingly in good health, he'll still be a candidate to sit out one half of the Pelicans' upcoming Friday/Saturday back-to-back set versus the Mavericks and Hawks, respectively.

Pelicans' Zion Williamson: Available to play
Williamson (hamstring) is available to play Wednesday against the Nuggets.
This will be Williamson's first game since Nov. 2, so he'll likely face restrictions following an eight-game absence. Yves Missi will likely return to the second unit with Williamson active and Derik Queen's usage could dip.

Pelicans' Zion Williamson: Listed questionable vs. Denver
Williamson (hamstring) is questionable for Wednesday's game against Denver.
Williamson is looking to end an eight-game absence due to a strained hamstring. If the star forward is ready to rejoin the fold, Herbert Jones and Derik Queen could see fewer minutes in the frontcourt.

Pelicans' Zion Williamson: Officially out Monday
Williamson (hamstring) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Thunder.
Williamson was tagged as questionable leading up to Monday's matchup but will ultimately be unable to go. He'll continue to be considered day-to-day with a hamstring injury that has kept him sidelined since Nov. 2.

Pelicans' Zion Williamson: Listed questionable for Monday
Williamson (hamstring) is questionable for Monday's game against the Thunder.
This isn't much of an update, as Williamson remains day-to-day. He's likely going to be a game-time call, as the Pelicans did not have a shootaround for the second leg of this back-to-back set. Williamson has missed the past seven games, so he's likely to have restrictions if he gets the green light to return.

Pelicans' Zion Williamson: Out again Sunday
Williamson (hamstring) won't play Sunday against the Warriors.
Williamson was considered a game-time call Sunday prior to this update, but he'll now miss his seventh game in a row. That being said, the Pelicans may have opted to hold him out Sunday, so he could return Monday against the Thunder since he's yet to be cleared for back-to-back sets.

Pelicans' Zion Williamson: Gets questionable tag
Williamson (hamstring) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Warriors.
Williamson has a chance to end a six-game absence caused by a hamstring strain. With Sunday being the first leg of a back-to-back for the Pelicans, the star forward could suit up for one half of the set and sit out the other. If Williamson is upgraded to available for Sunday, his return would likely reduce the playing time of Saddiq Bey, Derik Queen and Micah Peavy.

Pelicans' Zion Williamson: Cleared for on-court work
The Pelicans announced Thursday that Williamson (hamstring) continues to progress well through his rehabilitation and has been cleared to resume on-court basketball activities with contact.
Will Guillory of The Athletic provided a similar report Wednesday indicating that Williamson was cleared for contact, and he was able to participate in some 1-on-1 drills during the Pelicans' morning shootaround that day. According to the Pelicans' latest announcement, Williamson's "return-to-play progression will be updated appropriately," so fantasy managers can operate under the assumption that he's still being viewed as week-to-week as he works his way back from a Grade 1 hamstring strain and won't be returning to action Friday versus the Lakers.

Pelicans' Zion Williamson: Cleared for contact
Williamson (hamstring) has been cleared for contact and was able to get through some 1-on-1 work at Wednesday's shootaround, Will Guillory of The Athletic reports.
Williamson remains without an official timetable for his return, but being cleared for contact and ramping up to individual work are big steps in his recovery. We'll know he's close once he's cleared for 5-on-5 drills, but until that happens, we can assume he's week-to-week.
