Grizzlies' Tyler Burton: Connects with Memphis
Burton agreed Wednesday with the Grizzlies on a 10-day contract via a hardship exception, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.
The Grizzlies list six players out for Thursday's game against the Mavericks and four others as doubtful, so Burton will be added to the roster on a short-term basis to provide some emergency depth. Given the lack of healthy bodies, Burton could enter the Memphis rotation right away, though his minutes will likely fall by the wayside once the club draws closer to full health. Over 43 appearances in the G League this season for the Grizzlies' affiliate, the Memphis Hustle, the 6-foot-7 forward has shot 45.1 percent from the field and 38.6 percent from three-point range while averaging 19.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 2.5 triples and 1.2 steals in 32.5 minutes per contest.

Grizzlies' Tyler Burton: Inks deal with Memphis
Burton signed a training camp contract with the Grizzlies on Saturday.
Burton will join the Grizzlies for training camp and compete for a spot on the team's regular-season roster. Memphis will also hold the forward's G League rights. The 25-year-old appeared in eight outings with the G League's Memphis Hustle in 2024-25, averaging 2.5 points and 2.9 rebounds in 12.0 minutes per game.

Burton recorded 20 points (8-14 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block in 23 minutes during Sunday's 105-82 Summer League win over the Clippers.
Burton put together an impressive outing to close Summer League, leading the team in scoring and rebounds. After a lackluster 2024-25 season in the G League, Burton played well during Summer League, logging at least 20 points and seven rebounds twice. The Villanova product figures to spend his time this upcoming season in the G League.

Burton totaled 23 points (7-12 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 4-6 FT), nine rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block across 25 minutes in Tuesday's 91-90 Summer League loss against the 76ers.
Burton made a strong impression in his 2025 Summer League debut, coming off the bench to lead the team with 23 points. During the 2024-25 season, he appeared in eight games for the Memphis Hustle -- the G League affiliate of the Grizzlies -- and averaged 2.5 points and 3.0 rebounds in 12 minutes per contest.
