Ivey scored single digits for the fifth time in the past six games, continuing his underwhelming campaign. After his start to the season was delayed by a month due to injury, the hope was that Ivey would be able to carve out a starter-level role. However, it looks as though he could be limited to bench minutes, averaging just 19.2 minutes per game in 14 appearances over the past month.

Ivey has scored exactly 10 points in his last three games and has been one of the more important players off the bench for Detroit since returning from his knee injury. In 11 games, Ivey averages 8.0 points, 2.6 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.5 steals, 0.1 blocks and 1.0 threes across 14.9 minutes. However, his 21 minutes Monday was a season-high mark and may be a sign of things to come for the guard, who averaged at least 29 minutes a night in each of his first three seasons in the NBA.

The fourth-year guard didn't make his season debut until Nov. 22 after undergoing knee surgery just before the start of the campaign, and Wednesday's 15 points and six dimes were his best efforts in those categories in seven games since rejoining the lineup. Ivey has yet to play more than 20 minutes in a contest as he gets eased back in, but this performance might be a good sign he's ready to take on a bigger workload as the floor general for Detroit's second unit.
