Mavericks' Olivier-Maxence Prosper: Likely out for season with wrist injury
Prosper was diagnosed Friday with a significant right wrist injury and is expected to undergo season-ending surgery in the near future, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Prosper becomes the latest in a long line of Mavericks players to succumb to a significant injury. Assuming Prosper elects not to play through the injury, he'll finish his second NBA season with averages of 3.9 points, 2.4 rebounds and 0.8 assists in 11.2 minutes per game over 52 appearances. Prosper had typically been outside of the rotation on the few occasions the Mavericks have been at full strength this season, but he had appeared in each of the last 33 contests.

Mavericks' Olivier-Maxence Prosper: Out with wrist injury
Prosper won't play Friday against the Grizzlies due to a right wrist sprain, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
It's unclear when Prosper picked up the injury, but it'll cost him at least one game. Look for Caleb Martin (hip) and Kessler Edwards to pick up a few extra minutes in Prosper's absence.

Prosper is part of the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Warriors, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
At 6-foot-8, Prosper is the tallest player in Dallas' starting five due to several injuries at the center position. It'll be the second-year forward's third start of the season, and he averaged 7.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.0 steals across 28.0 minutes in his other two starts.

Mavericks' Olivier-Maxence Prosper: Scores 16 points off bench
Prosper notched 16 points (6-10 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT), four rebounds, one assist and one steal across 34 minutes during Monday's 129-128 overtime loss to Sacramento.
Anthony Davis (adductor) and P.J. Washington (ankle) were both sidelined Monday, and Davis is likely to miss extended time. Plus, Daniel Gafford left with a knee injury, so the Mavericks could potentially be very shorthanded going forward. Prosper made a strong impression Monday and is someone to watch in deeper formats in case he strings a few good games together.

Prosper will come off the bench in Tuesday's game against Philadelphia, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
Kessler Edwards will supplant Prosper in the starting five Tuesday. The 22-year-old has received inconsistent playing time of late, and over his last 10 outings (two starts), he has averaged 7.0 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 17.3 minutes per game.

Mavericks' Olivier-Maxence Prosper: Balanced outing in second start
Prosper finished Sunday's 144-101 loss to the Cavaliers with 10 points (4-15 FG, 0-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, four assists and two steals in 31 minutes.
Prosper got the starting nod for the second time this season Sunday due to P.J. Washington (knee) being sidelined, notching a team-high-tying pair of steals while leading all starters in assists and finishing as one of six Mavericks in double figures in scoring. Prosper has mustered double-digit point totals in four outings this year, including in three of his last six appearances.

Mavericks' Olivier-Maxence Prosper: Shines off bench Monday
Prosper contributed 20 points (7-11 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 4-6 FT), five rebounds and one assist in 25 minutes during Monday's 130-108 victory over the Wizards.
Prosper has had a limited role all season long, but he's been stepping up his game lately and taking advantage of the uptick in minutes due to the rash of injuries that have impacted the Mavs. This means he's cleared the 20-minute mark in three of his last four outings while scoring at least 14 points twice in that span. That's not enough to roster him in most formats, but Prosper could have some upside as a streaming alternative in deep formats as long as the Mavericks remain depleted.

Mavericks' Olivier-Maxence Prosper: Season-high 14 points off bench
Prosper recorded 14 points (4-6 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 5-9 FT), three rebounds and one steal in 21 minutes during Thursday's 121-115 win over the Thunder.
Prosper lost his spot in Dallas' starting five to Spencer Dinwiddie against a smaller Thunder lineup, but that didn't stop him from scoring a season-high 14 points off the bench during a busy night at the foul line. Prosper has seen an uptick in playing time over his last six games, during which he's averaging 7.0 points, 3.8 rebounds, 0.8 assists and 0.5 steals in 16.6 minutes. With the Mavericks' frontcourt dealing with several injuries at the moment, the 2023 first-rounder could continue witnessing a bump in minutes going forward.

The 22-year-old received his second start over his two-year career in Wednesday's win over Utah with Klay Thompson (ankle) and Naji Marshall (illness) sidelined, during which he recorded four points (2-7 FG, 0-3 3Pt), four rebounds and two assists across 25 minutes.

Prosper provided one point (0-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds and one assist across 10 minutes during Wednesday's 119-116 loss to the Pelicans.
Prosper played at least 10 minutes for the second straight game, assuming a more significant role due to the recent injuries to other players. With P.J. Washington (illness) out of the lineup, Prosper saw a small handful of extra minutes. He's been out of the rotation for most of the season, and he's rumored to be on the trade block if the Mavericks look to upgrade their roster at the deadline.

Mavericks' Olivier-Maxence Prosper: Garbage-time appearance
Prosper ended Tuesday's 132-91 win over the Pelicans with three points (1-1 FG, 1-2 FT), three rebounds and one steal across four minutes.
Prosper was rolled out during garbage time, a trend that seems unlikely to change anytime soon. As a player who is not an everyday part of the rotation, Prosper is averaging just 1.8 points and 1.4 rebounds in 6.1 minutes per game. Barring multiple injuries to players ahead of him, there is no reason to think he will be used in a meaningful role this season.

Mavericks' Olivier-Maxence Prosper: Has team option picked up
The Mavericks exercised Prosper's third-year rookie option for 2025-26, the team announced Wednesday.

However, the Mavericks have opted to keep him around for another season, picking up his team option for 2025-26. Prosper will compete with Maxi Kleber and Naji Marshall for minutes off the bench this season.

Prosper will slide to the bench in Monday's preseason matchup against the Clippers, Justin Russo of the 'Clip & Roll' podcast reports.
Prosper got the spot start in Thursday's loss to the Jazz, and he amassed a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. However, the 22-year-old will slide back to the bench with P.J. Washington making his return to game action after nursing a hip injury to begin the preseason.

Mavericks' Olivier-Maxence Prosper: Takes advantage of spot start
Prosper delivered 10 points (3-8 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 3-3 FT), 10 rebounds and an assist across 33 minutes in Thursday's 107-102 preseason loss to the Jazz.
Prosper got the start in the frontcourt alongside Dereck Lively, and there's no question the second-year forward took advantage of the opportunity. As good as he looked alongside Lively, Prosper's path at regular minutes in the regular season is blocked. He shouldn't have any value in most fantasy formats, regardless of how good he looks during his preseason cameos.
