Wizards' Johnny Davis: Efficient off bench Friday
Davis recorded 14 points (5-8 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 4-4 FT), two rebounds, five assists and three steals across 27 minutes in Friday's 118-117 preseason win over the Knicks.
Davis made his presence felt off the bench and was one of the Wizards' most efficient players in this win while also hitting the game-winning shot with only 6.1 seconds left in the fourth quarter. That said, Davis' heroics in the final preseason tune-up won't change his status in the rotation, and he's expected to either play a minimal role off the bench or start the campaign in the G League with the Capital City Go-Go.

The Wizards had already ruled out seven players due to injury heading into Sunday's contest, so Davis' absence for the rest of the game will test the team's depth.
