Air Force vs. Wyoming updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Air Force vs. Wyoming football game
The Wyoming Cowboys watched the action from their couches last weekend, but are set to take to the field. They are on the road again on Saturday and play against the Air Force Falcons at 7 p.m. ET Oct. 9 at Falcon Stadium. Both teams seek to continue their momentum from their previous wins.
The Cowboys decided to play defense against itself two weeks ago, but the squad still came out ahead despite their 85 penalty yards. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Connecticut Huskies 24-22. The overall outcome was to be expected, but UConn made it more of a game than the oddsmakers had predicted. Wyoming can attribute much of their success to RB Xazavian Valladay, who rushed for one TD and 101 yards on 22 carries.
Meanwhile, when you finish with 215 more yards than your opponent like Air Force did last week, a favorable outcome is almost sure to follow. They took their matchup against the New Mexico Lobos by a conclusive 38-10 score. With Air Force ahead 24 to nothing at the half, the contest was all but over already. Among those leading the charge for them was RB Brad Roberts, who rushed for two TDs and 142 yards on 29 carries.
Wyoming is now a perfect 4-0 while the Falcons sit at 4-1. A pair of offensive numbers to keep in mind before kickoff: The Cowboys are stumbling into the game with the 169th fewest passing yards per game in the nation, having accrued only 187.5 on average. Air Force has experienced some struggles of their own as they are 243rd worst in the nation in passing yards per game, with only 76.8 on average. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
