Akron vs. Eastern Michigan: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Tuesday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Akron vs. Eastern Michigan football game
This Tuesday, the Akron Zips are hoping to patch up the holes in a defense that has allowed an average of 37 points per contest. The Zips and the Eastern Michigan Eagles will face off in a Mid-American battle at 7 p.m. ET on Tuesday at Summa Field at InfoCision Stadium. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
The matchup between Akron and the Miami (OH) RedHawks last week was not a total blowout, but with Akron falling 27-9 at home, it was darn close to turning into one. Akron's loss came about despite a quality game from WR Alex Adams, who caught ten passes for one TD and 115 yards.
Meanwhile, it was close but no cigar for EMU as they fell 27-24 to the Toledo Rockets last week. Despite the defeat, EMU got a solid performance out of RB Samson Evans, who punched in three rushing touchdowns.
Akron found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 42-14 punch to the gut against the Eagles when the teams previously met three seasons ago. Can the Zips avenge their loss, or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll soon find out.
