Barrett Jones has been battling an injured left foot. (US Presswire) |
Alabama center Barrett Jones will get a cortisone shot on his injured foot before tonight's national title matchup with Notre Dame, according to a team source.
Jones, who injured the foot against Georgia, looks fine in pre-game warmups and will be a full go against the Irish.
Alabama will need Jones against a physical Notre Dame defensive line led by nose tackle Louis Nix.
Sun Life Stadium is almost full with less than a half-hour before the game, with plenty of Notre Dame green in the stands.
