Alabama football roster news
Alabama football has plenty of talent incoming, but the program has also suffered heavy losses in the college football transfer portal as well. Bama247 currently lists 24 players that were on the Alabama football roster in 2024 as having entered the transfer portal and several have already committed to another school.
Defensive lineman Damon Payne and running back Justice Haynes are both heading to Michigan while wide receivers Kendrick Law and Caleb Odom are bound for Kentucky and Ole Miss, respectively. Perhaps the biggest loss to date is offensive lineman Elijah Pritchett, who entered the portal last week after starting 11 games on the offensive line. He's listed as a 5-star recruit by 247Sports and is currently uncommitted.
However, it hasn't all been bad news in the new year. The Crimson Tide were able to add a commitment from Ball State transfer Arkel Anugwom, a three-star offensive tackle with three remaining years of eligibility.
