Through 3 Quarters
Down one at the end of last quarter, the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns have now snagged the lead. After three quarters it's looking more and more like their high-powered offense is just too much for the Appalachian State Mountaineers as Louisiana lead 24-10.
RB Trey Ragas has led the way so far for the Ragin' Cajuns, as he has punched in two rushing touchdowns in addition to snatching one receiving TD.
Appalachian State has been riding high on the performance of RB Nate Noel, who has rushed for one TD and 72 yards on 12 carries.

What to Know
The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns lost both of their matches to the Appalachian State Mountaineers last season on scores of 7-17 and 38-45, so they're hoping to turn the tables this season. The Ragin' Cajuns and Appalachian State will face off in a Sun Belt battle at 8:30 p.m. ET Friday at Kidd Brewer Stadium. Louisiana struts in flaunting some offensive muscle with an average of 35 points per game.
You can't lose the matchup if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Louisiana's strategy against the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks last week. Louisiana steamrolled past Louisiana-Monroe 70-20 on the road. That 50-point margin sets a new team best for Louisiana on the season. It was another big night for their QB Levi Lewis, who passed for three TDs and 147 yards on 25 attempts in addition to rushing for two TDs and 55 yards.
Meanwhile, when you finish with 323 more yards than your opponent like the Mountaineers did last week, a favorable outcome is almost sure to follow. They claimed a resounding 47-10 win over the Troy Trojans at home. That looming 37-point mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Appalachian State yet this season. Appalachian State QB Zac Thomas was slinging it as he passed for four TDs and 279 yards on 29 attempts.
Their wins bumped Louisiana to 8-1 and Appalachian State to 7-2. Both Louisiana and the Mountaineers have easy wins in recent memory. We'll see which one's ego takes a hit when they face off.
