Arizona State vs. Arizona Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Arizona State vs. Arizona football game
1st Quarter Report
Their last head-to-head back in November of 2022 was close, and so far it looks like that's how Arizona and Arizona State will finish this one. After one quarter, neither team has the match in the bag, but Arizona leads 10-7 over Arizona State.
Arizona entered the game having won five straight and they're just three quarters away from another. Will they make it six, or will Arizona State step up and spoil it? We'll know soon.
Preview
The Arizona Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Arizona State Sun Devils at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday at Mountain America Stadium. Arizona will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
Even though Arizona has not done well against Utah recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Everything went Arizona's way against Utah as Arizona made off with a 42-18 win. The oddsmakers were on Arizona's side, but they didn't give the team enough credit as the margin was unexpectedly wide.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Arizona to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tetairoa McMillan, who picked up 116 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 21 yards and a touchdown while completing 100% of his passes. Anthony Ward also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.
Meanwhile, Arizona State was expected to have a tough go of it on Saturday, and, well, they did. There's no need to mince words: Arizona State lost to Oregon, and Arizona State lost bad. The score wound up at 49-13.
Arizona's win bumped their season record to 8-3 while Utah's loss dropped theirs to 7-4.
Arizona skirted past Arizona State 38-35 when the teams last played back in November of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for Arizona since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
