Arizona State vs. Washington State: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Arizona State vs. Washington State football game
Arizona State will be in front of their home fans on Saturday, but a look at the spread shows they might need that home-field advantage. They will take on the Washington State Cougars at 8:00 p.m. ET on Saturday. Arizona State is limping into the contest on a six-game losing streak.
Arizona State started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Washington. They fell 15-7 to the Huskies on Saturday. Despite 53 more yards than Washington, Arizona State couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.
Meanwhile, Washington State's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They lost to Oregon on the road by a decisive 38-24 margin.
Washington State's loss came about despite a quality game from Cameron Ward, who threw for 438 yards and a touchdown. Kyle Williams also helped out as he racked up 102 receiving yards.
The Cougars weren't very productive on the ground and finished the game with only 57 rushing yards. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Oregon rushed for 248.
The losses dropped Arizona State to 1-6 and Washington State to 4-3.
In addition to losing their last games, the two teams failed to cover the spread. Looking ahead, Washington State is the favorite in this one, as the experts expect to see them win by six points. This contest will be Arizona State's seventh straight as the underdogs (so far over this stretch they are 3-2 against the spread).
Arizona State came up short against Washington State in their previous matchup back in November of 2022, falling 28-18. Will Arizona State have more luck at home instead of on the road?
