Arizona State vs. Wisconsin updates: Live NCAAF game scores, results for Thursday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Arizona State vs. Wisconsin football game
Game Recap
The Arizona State Sun Devils typically have all the answers at home, but on Thursday the Wisconsin Badgers proved too difficult a challenge. The Badgers beat ASU 20-13.
Wisconsin's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 20 points in the first half. ASU wasn't quite able to keep up, and the score was 20-6 heading into the break. Wisconsin was outperformed in the second half 7 to nothing but had enough points saved up to walk away with the win.
Wisconsin can attribute much of their success to RB Braelon Allen, who picked up 159 yards on the ground on 29 carries. On the other hand, one thorn in the Badgers' side was the less-than-spectacular play of QB Graham Mertz, who threw one interception with only 137 yards passing.
Wisconsin's defense was a presence, as it got past the Sun Devils' offensive line to sack QB Jayden Daniels four times for a total loss of 28 yards. Leading the way was LB Nick Herbig and his two sacks. Herbig now has 9.5 sacks through 13 games.
ASU's only offensive touchdown came from RB Daniyel Ngata. With that, the West Division playoffs come to an end.
