Arizona vs. Northern Arizona Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAAF game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Arizona vs. Northern Arizona football game
Game Recap
The Arizona Wildcats were the 65-41 winners over the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks when they previously met in September of 2019. On Saturday? They had no such luck. It was close but no cigar for Arizona as they fell 21-19 to Northern Arizona. If the result catches you off guard, it should: the Wildcats were far and away the favorite.
Northern Arizona's RB Kevin Daniels filled up the stat sheet, rushing for one TD and 108 yards on 27 carries. Northern Arizona's DB Brady Shough got in on the action, too, converting a pick in the second quarter into a touchdown.
The losing side was boosted by WR Boobie Curry, who snatched two receiving TDs.
Arizona's loss pushed them down to 0-3. The victory bumped Northern Arizona's record up to 1-2.
The Wildcats will square off against the Oregon Ducks at 10:30 p.m. ET next Saturday at Autzen Stadium. The Lumberjacks are staying on the road next Saturday to face off against the Northern Colorado Bears at 3 p.m. ET Sept. 25 at Nottingham Field. Unlike Northern Arizona, Northern Colorado will be stumbling in off of a defeat.
