Live scores, highlights and updates from the Arizona vs. UCLA football game
The UCLA Bruins will head out on the road to face off against the Arizona Wildcats at 10:30 p.m. ET on Saturday at Arizona Stadium. Arizona does have the home-field advantage, but UCLA is expected to win by two points.
UCLA gave up the first points last Saturday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against Colorado by a score of 28-16. The victory made it back-to-back wins for UCLA.
Ethan Garbers looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 269 yards and two touchdowns while completing 74.1% of his passes. Logan Loya did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 111 receiving yards.
The team's defense also helped out by holding Colorado to a paltry 242 yards. A big part of that defensive dominance came down to UCLA's ability to keep the quarterback under pressure: the team laid him out seven times before it was all said and done. Leading the way was Laiatu Latu and his two sacks.
Meanwhile, Arizona's game on Saturday was all tied up 10-10 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Oregon State and snuck past 27-24.
Arizona got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Noah Fifita out in front who threw for 275 yards and three touchdowns while completing 78.1% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Wiley, who picked up 58 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
UCLA's victory was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 6-2. As for Arizona, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.
Arizona is hoping to beat the odds on Saturday, as the experts think they're headed for a loss. They might be worth a quick bet since they're sitting on a five game streak of covering the spread when playing as the underdog.
UCLA came up short against Arizona when the teams last played back in November of 2022, falling 34-28. Can UCLA avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
