Army West Point vs. Massachusetts Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Army West Point vs. Massachusetts football game
The Army West Point Black Knights and the Massachusetts Minutemen will face off in an FBS Independents clash at noon ET Nov. 20 at Blaik Field at Michie Stadium. Army will be strutting in after a victory while UMass will be stumbling in from a defeat.
The Black Knights ran circles around the Bucknell Bison last week, and the extra yardage (486 yards vs. 175 yards) paid off. Army took their game at home with ease, bagging a 63-10 win over Bucknell. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42 to nothing. Army's RB Tyson Riley filled up the stat sheet, punching in one rushing touchdown.
Meanwhile, the Minutemen have to be hurting after a devastating 35-10 loss at the hands of the Maine Black Bears last week. QB Brady Olson had a memorable game, but not in the way you want to be remembered: he passed for only 113 yards on 30 attempts.
The Black Knights are the favorite in this one, with an expected 37-point (!) margin of victory. They are currently two-for-two against the spread in their most recent games, a trend bettors might want to take into account.
Army is now 6-3 while UMass sits at 1-9. A couple offensive stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: Army is stumbling into the matchup with the 239th fewest passing yards per game in the nation, having accrued only 98.4 on average. The Minutemen have experienced some struggles of their own as they are 207th worst in the nation in yards per game, with only 291.9 on average. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
