Spread: Ole Miss by 4.5

Watchability: The Rebels are solid favorites to snap their 16-game SEC losing streak -- that’s how far Auburn has fallen. Tigers freshman WR Sammie Coates said this week the team lacks leadership, though teammate Jake Holland disagreed. In any case, embattled coach Gene Chizik hasn’t announced whether Clint Moseley or Kiehl Frazier will start at QB. Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze has made the Rebels competitive, but his ill-advised fourth-down gamble last week still stings.

Shining stars: Auburn: Corey Lemonier. The junior DE has blocked two field goal tries and ranks fourth in the SEC with five sacks. He didn’t get to Tyler Wilson in last week’s home loss to Arkansas. Saturday, he must pressure Ole Miss’ Bo Wallace for Auburn to win. Ole Miss: Donte Moncrief. The sophomore WR has five TD catches, second-most in the SEC, and is Wallace’s favorite target. He’s averaging 75.5 receiving yards.

Who could steal the show: Auburn: Onterio McCalebb. The senior RB leads the SEC and ranks ninth nationally in kick return average (30.6). Dangerous in space, McCalebb averages 5.3 yards per carry. Ole Miss: Jeff Scott. The junior has two 100-yard rushing games and is a big reason why the Rebels have scored on 17 of 19 red zone trips.

You going? Ranking the road trip: Tailgating at The Grove is always special, even when it starts early like it will Saturday. It’s even better when the Rebels fans have legitimate hopes of an SEC win.

Magic number for Auburn: 3. Auburn has won three straight over Ole Miss, outscoring the Rebels 125-74.

Magic number for Ole Miss: 25. That’s the Rebels’ national ranking in rushing. They average 213 yards per game. They’re also in the SEC’s top five in total offense, passing, first downs, and third-down conversion percentage.

The game comes down to: It will be interesting to see how Ole Miss responds to its devastating home loss to Texas A&M when the Rebels blew a 10-point, fourth-quarter lead. If Wallace bounces back from his late interception, Ole Miss should outscore a feeble Auburn attack averaging an SEC-low 15.4 points.

Prediction: Ole Miss 27, Auburn 20
