Auburn vs. LSU updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Auburn vs. LSU football game
The LSU Tigers have enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they must head out on the road. LSU and the Auburn Tigers will face off in an SEC battle at 7 p.m. ET on Saturday at Jordan-Hare Stadium. LSU won't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy a 9-point advantage in the spread.
When you finish with 545 more yards than your opponent like LSU did last week, a favorable outcome is almost sure to follow. They steamrolled past the New Mexico Lobos 38 to nothing at home. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point LSU had established a 31 to nothing advantage. Their RB Noah Cain looked sharp as he punched in two rushing touchdowns.
Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Auburn ultimately got the result they were hoping for last week with a 17-14 victory over the Missouri Tigers. The score was all tied up at the break 14-14, but Auburn was the better team in the second half. No one had a standout game offensively for Auburn, but RB Tank Bigsby led the way with one touchdown.
The wins brought LSU up to 3-1 and Auburn to 3-1. A pair of defensive numbers to keep in mind before kickoff: LSU comes into the contest boasting the eighth fewest passing yards allowed per game in the nation at 145.5. As for Auburn, they rank fifth in the nation when it comes to passing touchdowns allowed, with only two on the season.
