Auburn vs. Ole Miss: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Auburn vs. Ole Miss football game
Ole Miss has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. The Ole Miss Rebels and the Auburn Tigers will face off in an SEC West battle at 7:00 p.m. ET on Saturday at Jordan-Hare Stadium. Auburn took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Ole Miss, who comes in off a win.
Ole Miss gave up the first points two weeks ago, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against Arkansas by a score of 27-20.
Ole Miss got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ulysses Bentley IV out in front who rushed for 94 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries. Jordan Watkins did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 86 receiving yards.
Meanwhile, Auburn's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. There's no need to mince words: Auburn lost to LSU, and Auburn lost bad. The score wound up at 48-18. Auburn was down 34-10 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Ole Miss has been no stranger to the win column this season, as they've started out with wins in five of their first six matches, giving them a 5-1 record. As for Auburn, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
While only Auburn took care of their fans the last time they played, neither team managed to cover. Looking forward, Ole Miss is the favorite in this one, as the experts expect to see them win by six points. Anyone thinking of taking Auburn against the spread should keep this in mind: the team hasn't covered the last three times they've played Ole Miss.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Saturday' game: The Rebels have been excellent in the air this season, having averaged 306 passing yards per game. It's a different story for the Tigers, though, as they've been averaging only 155.8 per game. How will Auburn fare against such a dominant passing game?
