Ball State vs. Army West Point updates: Live NCAAF game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Ball State vs. Army West Point football game
Game Recap
The Army West Point Black Knights came up short against the Ball State Cardinals on Saturday, falling 28-16. What made the defeat an especially bitter pill for Army to swallow was that they had been favored by 10 points coming into the game.
Ball State QB Drew Plitt was slinging it as he passed for two TDs and 233 yards on 28 attempts. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget WR Justin Hall, who went all the way with a kickoff return for touchdown in the first quarter?
QB Tyhier Tyler didn't have many carries last week, but he kept the ball more on Saturday and made it count. The Black Knights' only offensive touchdowns (two) came on a rush from Tyler.
With their first loss of the season, Army fell to 4-1. The victory bumped Ball State's record up to 2-3.
Army will have some time to rest before their next contest, which is against the Wisconsin Badgers at 8 p.m. ET in two weeks at Camp Randall Stadium. As for Ball State, they will go up against the Western Michigan Broncos at 3:30 p.m. ET next Saturday at Waldo Stadium. Like the Cardinals, WMU is also coming into the matchup bolstered by a recent win.
