Baylor vs. Oklahoma State updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Baylor vs. Oklahoma State football game
The Baylor Bears and the Oklahoma State Cowboys will face off in a Big 12 clash at 3:30 p.m. ET Oct. 1 at McLane Stadium. The teams split their matchups last year, with Oklahoma State winning the first 24-14 at home and the Bears taking the second 21-16.
Baylor was able to grind out a solid win over the Iowa State Cyclones last week, winning 31-24. Baylor QB Blake Shapen was slinging it as he passed for three TDs and 238 yards on 26 attempts.
Baylor's defense was a presence as well, as it got past Iowa State's offensive line to sack QB Hunter Dekkers four times for a total loss of 20 yards. Leading the way was LB Bryson Jackson and his two sacks. Those were the first sacks for Jackson this season.
Meanwhile, when you finish with 308 more yards than your opponent like Oklahoma State did two weeks ago, a favorable outcome is almost sure to follow. They steamrolled past the Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions 63-7 at home. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 49-7. Oklahoma State QB Spencer Sanders did work as he passed for four TDs and 242 yards on 16 attempts.
This next game is expected to be close, with the Bears going off at just a 2-point favorite. They might be worth taking a chance on against the spread as they are currently on a two-game streak of ATS wins.
The wins brought Baylor up to 3-1 and the Cowboys to 3-0. A pair of offensive stats to keep an eye on: Baylor enters the matchup with 15 rushing touchdowns, good for third best in the nation. Oklahoma State has displayed some offensive firepower of their own as they rank eighth in the nation when it comes to yards per game, with 511.3 on average.
