USF recruit Asiantii Woulard moving up the charts

There will be several dual threats at QB throughout the Big East this season. The impressive list includes Louisville sophomore Teddy Bridgewater, Temple junior Chris Coyer, USF senior B.J. Daniels and Cincinnati junior Munchie Legaux. None, however, may be as talented as USF recruit Asiantii Woulard. ESPN has moved Woulard to the top of its list of dual-threat QBs in the Class of 2013. 

Woulard (6-3, 204) is rising fast after earning MVP honors at the prestigious ESPN Elite 11 QB Camp in Redondo Beach, Calif. The Winter Park High School (Fla.) quarterback impressed scouts with his arm strength on a 60-yard touchdown pass and also with his ability to handle the offense during a high-pressure two-minute drill.

"I never thought that he could do what he did," former NFL QB Trent Dilfer told ESPNRecruiting Nation. "I'm so blown away by it." 

Woulard is considered to be more of a passer than a runner. More important for USF, Woulard has a high ceiling. He will be playing quarterback full-time for just the second season of his career in 2012. 

Huskies struggling to fill the seats 

Connecticut has only sold approximately 19,000 season tickets, according to UConn beat writer Desmond Conner of the Hartford Courant. The sales figures pale in comparison to season tickets last summer, when the school sold 25,000 at the end of August, the Courant reported. In 2010, Uconn had already exceeded the current total by early July (23,000). 

The lack of interest is surprising considering the relative strength of UConn's home schedule. Besides FCS opponent Massachusetts and Buffalo, every game on the Huskies' home slate should be competitive. None of the four other teams that travel to Rentschler Field -- NC State (57th), Temple (46th), Pitt (69th) and Cincinnati (30th) -- ended last season ranked outside the Top 75 in the final Sagarin Ratings. The Hartford stadium has a capacity of approximately 40,000.

Graham, Greene highlight Big East Media Kickoff

Pitt RB Ray Graham and Rutgers LB Khaseem Greene are among a group of approximately 30 players that have been invited to attend the Big East Kickoff on July 30 and 31. Graham is the only player in the conference to be nominated for the Walter Camp Award, given to the nation's top player. Greene is the reigning co-Big East Defensive Player of the Year. 

Other prominent players include USF QB B.J. Daniels, Cincinnati LB Maalik Bomar, Pitt S Jarred Holley and Syracuse WR Alec Lemon.
