Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty announced on social media that he is launching a football scholarship fund to help future athletes at the university. Jeanty is using PonyUp, Boise State's official crowdfunding option, to raise $200,000 in support of the initiative.
"Bronco Nation, thank you for the outpour of support for me and my teammates," Jeanty said in a video posted to social media. "So many of you have reached out to ask what you can do to help me leave a legacy. Here's your opportunity. I'm launching the Ashton Jeanty Endowed Scholarship for Football. Join me in building the scholarship fund to support future Broncos and help them realize their dreams. Go Broncos."

According to the post on PonyUp, the aim of the scholarship is to provide Boise State athletes "the support they need to pursue their own success." Donors that give at least $1,000 will receive a poster signed by Jeanty.
Jeanty -- the Heisman Trophy frontrunner at +200, according to DraftKings Sportsbook -- currently leads the nation with 1,248 yards rushing on just 126 carries. His 17 touchdowns on the ground are tied for second in the nation, and he's rushed for at least three touchdowns in four out of Boise State's six games thus far.
He's a huge reason why the Broncos are currently ranked 17th in the AP Top 25 Poll with a record of 5-1. Their lone loss came by three points against No. 1 Oregon. That puts Boise State firmly in poll position for the Group of Five's College Football Playoff spot.
