Game Recap
The Boston College Eagles were hampered by 92 penalty yards against the North Carolina Tar Heels Saturday. The Eagles were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 26-22 to UNC.
RB Javonte Williams was the offensive standout of the game for the Tar Heels, punching in one rushing touchdown in addition to snatching one receiving TD. QB Sam Howell was nothing to write home about, but finished with two touchdowns.
The losing side was boosted by QB Phil Jurkovec, who passed for two TDs and 313 yards on 56 attempts.
BC's overall record fell to 2-0. UNC's victory brought them up to 1-0.
BC will square off against the Pittsburgh Panthers at 4 p.m. ET next week at Alumni Stadium. Pitt also suffered a recent defeat, falling 30-29 to the NC State Wolfpack Saturday. As for the Tar Heels, they will face off against the Virginia Tech Hokies at noon ET next week at Kenan Memorial Stadium. If the matchup is anything like Virginia Tech's 43-41 win from their previous meeting October of last year, the scorekeeper will be kept real busy.
