Boston College vs. Wake Forest Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Boston College vs. Wake Forest football game
The Boston College Eagles and the Wake Forest Demon Deacons will face off in an ACC clash at noon ET Nov. 27 at Alumni Stadium. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W.'
It was close but no cigar for BC as they fell 26-23 to the Florida State Seminoles last week. The Eagles' loss shouldn't obscure the performances of QB Phil Jurkovec, who passed for one TD and 148 yards on 24 attempts in addition to rushing for one TD and 59 yards, and WR Zay Flowers, who was on the other end of that TD and tacked on 92 yards receiving.
Meanwhile, Wake Forest suffered a grim 48-27 defeat to the Clemson Tigers last week. Wake Forest was down 38-13 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from. QB Sam Hartman had a memorable game, but not in the way you want to be remembered: despite one touchdown, he threw one interception and fumbled the ball once.
BC is expected to lose this next one by 4.5. Those betting on them against the spread shouldn't have high expectations for them since the squad is 1-3 ATS when expected to lose.
The losses put BC at 6-5 and the Demon Deacons at 9-2. A pair of numbers to keep in mind before kickoff: The Eagles are 182nd worst in the nation in thrown interceptions, having thrown nine on the season. Wake Forest has experienced some struggles of their own as they are stumbling into the matchup with the 196th most thrown interceptions in the nation, having thrown ten on the season. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
