Buffalo vs. Ohio updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Buffalo vs. Ohio football game
Get ready for a Mid-American battle as the Buffalo Bulls and the Ohio Bobcats will face off at noon ET on Saturday at UB Stadium. Given that these two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Buffalo came up short against the Kent State Golden Flashes last week, falling 48-38. The Bulls' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of RB Dylan McDuffie, who punched in one rushing touchdown, and RB Kevin Marks Jr., who punched in two rushing touchdowns. Marks Jr.'s performance made up for a slower game against the Western Michigan Broncos two weeks ago.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought matchup, but Ohio had to settle for a 30-27 loss against the Central Michigan Chippewas last week. The loss was just more heartbreak for the Bobcats, who have now lost three close ones in a row against CMU. No one had a standout game offensively for Ohio, but they got scores from RB De'Montre Tuggle and RB Sieh Bangura.
Buffalo is the favorite in this one, with an expected 9-point margin of victory. Those burned by picking them against the spread last week might want to keep in mind that the team has not yet dropped back-to-back games against the spread this season.
The losses put the Bulls at 2-4 and Ohio at 1-5. A couple defensive stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: Buffalo is stumbling into the matchup with the 224th most rushing touchdowns allowed in the nation, having given up 12 on the season. The Bobcats have experienced some rushing struggles of their own as they are 238th worst in the nation in rushing touchdowns allowed, with 15 on the season. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
