The James Madison Dukes will hit the road to start this year's campaign against the Charlotte 49ers. Kickoff is scheduled at 8:00 p.m. ET on Saturday at Jerry Richardson Stadium.

A deciding factor in this game could be passing touchdowns, as these two teams wound up on other sides of the spectrum last year. Charlotte were ranked 129th in the nation last season, with seven over the course of the season. James Madison, on the other hand, had no problem: they finished last season ranked sixth with 33 in total.

Looking back to last season, Charlotte will look to improve upon their 3-9 record. On the other hand, James Madison had a stellar season and finished 11-1.

Charlotte is hoping to beat the odds on Saturday, as the experts think they're headed for a loss. They finished last season with an even 6-6 record against the spread.
