Live scores, highlights and updates from the Cincinnati vs. Iowa State football game
The Cincinnati Bearcats will look to defend their home field on Saturday against the Iowa State Cyclones at 12:00 p.m. ET at Nippert Stadium. Cincinnati is limping into the match on a three-game losing streak.
Two Fridays ago, Cincinnati came up short against BYU and fell 35-27. Despite 203 more yards than BYU, Cincinnati couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.
Cincinnati's defeat came about despite a quality game from Emory Jones, who threw for 256 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 94 yards. Chamon Metayer also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Iowa State earned a 27-14 victory over TCU on Saturday.
Iowa State got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Eli Sanders out in front who rushed for 99 yards and a touchdown. Another player making a difference was Abu Sama III, who rushed for 59 yards and a touchdown on only six carries.
Iowa State's victory bumped their season record to 3-3 while Cincinnati's defeat dropped theirs to 2-3.
Looking ahead, Cincinnati is the favorite in this one, as the experts expect to see them win by five points.
